BOKU Graduation scholarship for working students

 

Prerequisites Bachelor:

  1. At the time of application, at least two thirds of the ECTS credits of the course of study must have been completed, i.e. at least 120 ECTS for a bachelor's degreeprogramme.
  2. At the time of application, a study activity of at least 8 ECTS must be demonstrated in the semester preceding the application.  Only compulsory (election) courses incl. recognitions are taken into account; in the case of joint studies, these may also have been carried out at the other educational institution. 
  3. At the time of application, a taxable income above the minimum threshold up to twice the minimum limit in the calendar year preceding the application must be established. For 2017, therefore, an income between EUR 5,959.80 and EUR 11,919.60 must  be taken into account. For 2018, an income between EUR 6,132.70 and EUR 12,265.40 must be demonstrated.

 

Prerequisites Master:

  1. At the time of application, at least two thirds of the ECTS credits of the course of study must have been completed, i.e. at least 80 ECTSfor a Master's degreeprogramme. If all examination satdown satisinuary has already been provided for the completion of a master's degree programme, the (first)supervisor must confirm the progress of the master's thesis. 
  2. At the time of application, a study activity of at least 8 ECTS must be demonstrated in the semester preceding the application.  Only compulsory (election) courses incl. recognitions are taken into account; in the case of joint studies, these may also have been carried out at the other educational institution. 
  3. At the time of application, a taxable income above the minimum threshold up to twice the minimum limit in the calendar year preceding the application must be established. For 2017, therefore, an income between EUR 5,959.80 and EUR 11,919.60 must  be taken into account. For 2018, an income between EUR 6,132.70 and EUR 12,265.40 must be demonstrated.

 

Groups:

Students of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna are entitled to apply for tuition contributions independently and/or self-employed students of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna in regular studies.

  • with the nationality of an EU or EEA country, or
  • austria is entitled, under an international treaty, to grant the same rights of access to the profession as Austrian nationals or
  • which fall within the categories of persons in accordance with the Persons' Group Regulation, or
  • from third countries that have a residence permit other than that for students in accordance with Section 64 of the Law on Establishment and Residence (NAG).

Extraordinary students and co-applicants  from other educational institutions are not eligible to apply.

 

Application:

  1. Completed application form  including the announcement of the selected regular course of study for which the graduation scholarship is applied for.
  2. Proof of taxable income
  3. In the case of a double study at several educational institutions, the scholarship can only be applied for at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna if the tuition fee has been paid at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna.
  4. For the application, the forms provided by the study services must be used and the application and the required proofs must be sent exclusively by e-mail to the graduation scholarship(at)boku.ac.at.  If there are doubts as to the authenticity of the documents submitted, the original documents may be required to be submitted.

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED!

IMPROVEMENT CONTRACTS WILL NOT BE REQUIRED!

 

Amount of the scholarship:

EUR 400,- per semester

 

Duration of reference:

The maximum subscription period is

  1. with a six-semester bachelor's degree programme 4 semesters
  2. in a four-semester Master's degree programme for 2 semesters

An application is submitted in part of the semester. The application period runs from 1 October to 10 December in the winter semester and from 4 March to 10 May in the summer semester. The progress of the studies in the semester preceding the application must be demonstrated.

For each semester, only one application can be submitted per student to pay the scholarship for a course of study in which thenon-contributory study period incl. tolerance semester has been exceeded. In the case of double or multiple studies, a regular course of study must be named at the time of application, in which the non-contributory study period incl. tolerance semester in the academic year 2018/19 in accordance with Section 91 UG was exceeded. The chosen course of study must be used for the award of the scholarship as long as it is not completed.

The scholarship is paid out after the Rectorate has awarded it, provided that the student is correctly registered for study by paying the tuition fee and the student fee and fulfils the other above-mentioned requirements.
