How to run for the position of Study Field Representation (StV)
As a mandatary of the Study Field Representation, your role is the support of students in your study programme as well as development of the curriculum.
The different study programmes at BOKU are assigned to a specific Study Field Representation. You can find the allocation here.
The vote for Study Field Represantation is a personal vote, meaning you vote directly for the person you would like to have as a representative, not for a faction. If you want to run as a candidate you don’t need any Declaration of support from other persons.
The amount of people in the Study Field Representation depends on the number of students in the assigned programs. Currently they are made up of 3 (WOW, Doctorate) / 5 (all others programmes) mandates.
To run as a candidate, you have to fill out a form and bring it to the Head of the Electoral Commission together with your proof of enrolment (Student record sheet “Studienblatt” – can be found in BOKUonline). The deadline to submit your documents is April 22nd.
If you run as a candidate, you have the opportunity to present yourself in the Election Edition of the ÖH Magazine. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org!
How to run for University Representation (UV)
The vote for university representation is a contingent vote, you can chose between the parties (factions) running, not the individual people. Candidatures for the university represantation require a certain number of Declarations of support from students.
Campaigning groups that run for the ÖH BOKU university representation and did not have a mandate there in 2019-21 have to collect declarations of support. For this purpose, there is a single form for one person each and a form on which several declarations of support can be collected. The signature can be done by hand or with a qualified electronic signature (according to european law).
For campaigning groups that run for the university representation of the ÖH BOKU and had at least one mandate there in 2019-21, the signature of one mandatary as well as the person authorised to deliver the documents ("Zustellungsbevollmächtigte*r") is sufficient instead of the declarations of support. If this is the same person, then the signature of this person is sufficient as a declaration of support (however, it must be signed twice). This form can also be signed manually or with a qualified electronic signature.
In addition to the declarations of support, an election proposal containing the people running for the candidate group as well as the declarations of consent of the candidates running for this group must be submitted. The declaration of consent may be signed manually or by means of a qualified electronic signature.
The required documents have to be submitted by April 13th. The submission office can be found further down on this page.
All Contingents also have the chance to present themselves on an A4 page in the ÖH Magazine. Please contact email@example.com!
How to run for Federal Representation (BV)
The vote for the Federal Representation is a contingent vote, you can chose between the parties (factions) running, not the individual people. Candidatures for the Federal Representation require a certain number of Declarations of support from students of different higher education institutions. (200 declarations from at least 7 different tertiary institutions, where 10 declarations must be collected from each institution).
The required documents are similar to the ones neccessary for groups running for university representation. Campaigning groups that do not have a mandate in the federal representation in 2019-21 must collect statements of support (form / single form). For electoral groups that are already represented in the federal representation, the signature of one mandatary and the person authorised to deliver the documents (Zustellungsbevollmächtigte*r) is sufficient (form). In addition, an election proposal and declarations of consent of the persons on the election proposal must be submitted. The deadline is April 13th 2021.
The Declarations of support have to be submitted together with a list of students running for the faction to the Head of the Electoral Commission of the Federal Representation.
